Niall Ferguson, MA, D.Phil., is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard University and William Ziegler Professor at Harvard Business School. He is a resident faculty member of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies. He is also a Senior Research Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford University, and a Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.
Author of a number of books covering subjects as diverse as the origins of World War One to chartering the role and power of money in the modern world, Niall has been more recently noted for his work, ‘The Ascent of Money! A Financial History of the World’, the publication of which was accompanied by a Channel 4 television series.
A prolific commentator on comtemporary politics and economics, Niall frequently writes reviews for a wide variety of publications within both the British and American press. A contributing editor to the Financial Times, Niall was also named by Time magazine as one of the world’s hundred most influential people.
