Plentiful New Year’s Honours Awards for corporate speakers

Congratulations to news veteran & charity campaigner, Martyn Lewis and champion jockey AP McCoy, on their New Year Honours Knighthoods – also CBE’s for sporting icons John Surtees, Denis Law Falklands hero & motivational speaker, Simon Weston and entrepreneur Jacqueline Gold. In addition, management & diversity speaker and FA Director, Heather Rabbatts has also just been awarded a Damehood.

Martyn Lewis is one of Britain’s best known newscasters and a highly effective conference host. Since leaving the BBC he has worked tirelessly for various charities.  He is currently the chairman of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and was given his Knighthood for services to the voluntary sector and particularly the hospice movement.

The Football Association director Heather Rabbatts, who was made the FA’s first female board member in 2012 – has been made a Dame for both services to football and equality. Heather, who has campaigned widely on behalf of women in sport, is a superb motivational speaker, particularly on the themes of management, women in business, communication, diversity and leadership.

Ann Summers CEO, Jacqueline Gold, who has received the CBE, is an accomplished motivational speaker, particularly on the subject of leadership and entrepreneurialism. Jacqueline has been named as one of Britain’s 100 Most Influential Women and the second Most Powerful Woman in Retail. In her presentations she shares the secrets of her success – inspiring a work force and looking after your customers.

We are delighted another superb motivational speaker, Simon Weston, has been awarded the CBE for his extensive charity work. Simon is an excellent choice for conference presentations and themes include overcoming adversity, accepting change and taking up the challenges for now and the future.  Feedback on his speeches includes:

Simon was fabulous and the response back from the team has been more than positive.  Some said they had met their hero, one member of staff phoned his Dad and Simon spoke with him, couple of the girls cried.  He was very funny as well and gave some really good messages.   Afterwards he sold signed copies of his children’s books (just in time for Christmas) and didn’t mind having his photo taken with individual staff which was great.” Trident Social Investment Group

Simon was brilliant! What an inspirational and lovely person. I could have listened to him for hours . He made a huge impact on me and many others.” Vodafone
