The inimitable fromer heavyweight champion, Frank Bruno’s, book, Let Me Be Frank, is due to be released later this month

 

It is now 22 years since Frank Bruno won what is often described as the biggest prize in Sport.  Frank became World Heavywight boxing champion on September 2nd 1995 on a memorable night at Wembley.

 

During a glittering career Bruno was involved in some epic contests against the likes of Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson.  Since retirement he remains one of Britain’s most popular sportsmen and a national favourite.

 

Frank is in the process of setting up a foundation to encourage the use of non-contact sport to help people with illness.  He is involved in numerous charity projects and is about to head up a new campaign, Time to Change, which is a coalition of mental health charities.

 

Frank delivers both a highly entertaining and motivational message via his in conversation with after dinner or conference speeches together with BBC Sports broadcaster, Garry Richardson.  Garry has worked for the BBC for over 40 years, reporting on 7 Olympic Games and interviewing some of the world’s most famous characters including Nelson Mandela and Bruno’s inspirational mentor, Muhammad Ali.
