‘ Former Chancellor of the Exchequer and holder of many ministerial posts Kenneth Clarke is now MP for Rushcliffe and has taken on various business appointments. He is Deputy Chairman of British American Tobacco Plc and non-executive Chairman of Alliance Unichem Plc, a pan-European pharmaceutical wholesale company. He is also a director at Foreign and Colonial Investment Trust and an adviser to Daiwa Europe Ltd.’

In May 2009 Kenneth Clarke returned to the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and In May 2010 David Cameron appointed him as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
