Kate Humble is a writer and presenter. Her most recent television credits include Orbit: Earth’s Extraordinary Journey (BBC 2 2012), The Spice Trail (BBC 2, 2011) Lambing Live (BBC 2 2010 and 2011) Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC 2, 2009) The Frankincense Trail (BBC 2, 2009) and the ever popular wildlife series Springwatch and Autumnwatch. Her latest project for BBC 2 is Volcano Live.
Kate has travelled extensively, including in 2009 to a remote region of Afghanistan. She has written for a number of publications including The Telegraph, The Times, The Independent, Travel Africa and Wanderlust and has a regular column in the Saturday Telegraph about her farm. In 2011 she co-authored ‘Watching Waterbirds’ with Martin McGill to raise funds for The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, of which she is vice-president.
She is a qualified commercial diver and is the second woman ever to be appointed President of the RSPB.
