Developing Sponsorship Opportunities

If sponsorship is a key part of your funding strategy – here is a man you should meet … on two different levels.  Brian Sims is widely recognised as being one of the most successful sponsorship acquisition exponents in professional sport.

He an entertaining, inspirational and powerful motivational speaker at conferences, sports days, business events, awards dinners and similar.  In addition Brian offers the opportunity to work with your sales team for a full day to motivate, train and inspire them.  His techniques are based on his amazing track record and real-life case studies in respect of sponsorship acquisition.

Brian is a former Xerox salesman and UK Sales Training Director for the giant ITT Corporation.  He went on to apply the professional selling skills that he had developed in the business world to building a successful professional motor racing career.

Brian then moved into the fiercely competitive world of F1. Initially this was as the Head of Motorsport for an international sports marketing agency.  Whilst there he personally acquired the multi-million pound deals that brought FedEx, Gillette and Marconi into the sport for the first time.  He went on to become the Commercial Director for the Benetton F1 Team.

He has written two highly acclaimed books on this topic plus his recent autobiography; YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A CHAMPION TO BE A WINNER! This has generated great reviews and was included in the prestigious CQI International Magazine’s THE 2020 LIST of MUST-READ BOOKS.

Later, as a Guest Lecturer for the prestigious World Academy of Sport, Brian helped senior executives in sports associations.  These include the International Cricket Council, World Rugby and the Bahrain Olympic Committee.  His role was to help them understand the most effective way of acquiring corporate sponsorship.
