Former Olympic champion, TV presenter and motivational speaker, Colin Jackson, is in much demand for both corporate and educational events.
Motivational speaker, Colin Jackson, was one of the greatest athletes in the history of British Athletics. World Indoor, European Indoor and European Outdoor Champion, Colin was ranked in the world top 10 for 16 years. He was World No.1 from 1992-1994 and never out of the world’s top 3 during the last 7 years of his career. Colin is now a TV presenter and is a hugely popular motivational speaker.
Having covered the Athens Olympics, Colin went on to becoming an integral part of the BBC programming for every key athletic event. This included the London Olympics in 2012 where he was a main part of the studio team. Other leading TV highlights include co-hosting the BBC1 live morning show Sunday Life; The Truth About You for BBC1; plus tracing his roots in a moving episode of BBC1′s highly acclaimed, Who Do You Think You Are, Celebrity Masterchef, as well as dazzling the nation with his dancing skills on Strictly Come Dancing – making it through to the final by public vote. He has also appeared on ITV1′s Dancing on Ice Goes Gold and in 2021 joined the line up of Dancing on Ice.
Colin is the Patron of Fairbridge Cymru and works closely with Sport Relief, where he is a member of the steering panel and is also an International Inspiration Ambassador for UNICEF. He is passionate about education and has worked extensively with BBC Wales’ award-nominated sport website Raise your Game. The site encouraged children to be ambitious in sport and life in general and launched the Red Shoes Academy, encouraging youth sport. Colin became Schools Ambassador for Wey Education in 2019. He continues to work closely with the Online Learning partner today, helping them navigate the way through the COVID-19 pandemic.
