Shaun Williamson, best known for his role as Barry Evans in Eastenders, has enjoyed success in a wide variety of roles before and since. Prior to hitting our television screens Shaun had a variety of jobs including a Postman, a stint in the Navy, working on Wines & Spirits at Safeway’s and latterly as a rep for Pontin’s and 18 –30’s.

He set up his own amateur group and staged a production of “A Day In The Death Of Joe Egg” for which he won Best Actor in the Kent Drama Festival. Going on to successfully complete a three-year acting diploma at The Webber Douglas Academy Shaun appeared in several TV shows before landing the part of ‘Barry Evans’ in EastEnders.

He now regularly appears in cabaret and a Soul Band. A versatile and accomplished Stand-Up comedian, Singer and After Dinner Speaker, Shaun is a regular on the corporate speaking circuit always with great acclaim. Shaun is a regular in the media, a subject of ‘This Is Your Life’ October 2001, he has also hosted a live daily quiz for ITV1 and starred as ‘DJ Monty’ in the West End ‘Saturday Night Fever, a role he revived on a nationwide tour.

In 2006 he appeared in Ricky Gervais ‘Extras’ series 1&2′ which won great reviews. Shaun has also starred in the play ‘Road To Nirvana’ in London and as the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show. In 2007 he made his film debut in ‘Daylight Robbery’ and took part in Fame Academy for Comic relief 2007. More recently Shaun starred as Fagin in Oliver and Guys and Dolls as Nathan Detroit. He appeared on BBC1 in the ‘Extras Xmas Special’ and BBC1 Fairy Tale ‘Rapunzel’. Shaun is ambitious to continue to act both in comedy and serious drama on Film, TV & stage and to sing professionally.
