The Rockabellas
The Rockabellas are today’s answer to The Andrews Sisters.
With killer heels, killer curves and killer harmonies, they have been called to the musical front line to lift the spirits of ladies and gentlemen all over the world with their unrivalled vintage vocals.
Whether it’s a small underground club (such as Cellar Bar, Covent Garden), a large corporate affair (including Orange, Barclays, JD Sports), a public event (Epsom Ladies Day), a military engagement (Sandhurst HQ) or a smaller functions, they have been there, done it and worn the pencil skirt.
From toe-tapping classics from the wartime songbirds to floor-fillers from modern day chart toppers which they beat into submission with our retro sticks, they sing it all with the glamour and grace of the bygone years.
The Rockabellas are amazingly versatile. They can perform a capella (either in situ with PA still or as a walkabout act around open air events or tables at dinner for example). They can also offer live backing, starting with 3 piece brass over the top of their bespoke backing tracks, right up to a full 14 piece big band which they affectionately call the Rockafellas!
Costumes include military, hot pink peep toes with moulin rouge mini top-hats, cherry print cocktail dresses and red, white & blue sailor girl pin up outfits. Their repertoire ranges from pure nostalgia or a mix of nostalgia and dancefloor classics from the likes of Michael Jackson, Kylie etc – which they give a complete big band makover to of course!
And whether it’s Vera or Verve, Elvis or Ella, they have just one philosophy: “It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Aint Got That Swing!”
