Sir Ranulph Fiennes Bt OBE
Having led twenty two major expeditions to remote parts of the world, including both Poles, Sir Ranulph Fiennes is currently the only man alive to have travelled around the Earth’s vertical circumpolar surface. He was also the first explorer to entirely cross the Antarctic continent unsupported. He is a gifted story teller, both entertaining and inspirational – and is in huge demand as a motivational keynote and after dinner speaker to businesses across the globe.
Global motivational speaker, Ranulph Fiennes, has dedicated his life to record breaking expeditions. He has raised millions for Marie Curie in the process. His multiple achievements include the vertical circumnavigation of the world via both Poles. He is the best-selling author of 24 books. His book is The Elite – The Story of Special Forces was published in 2019. In addition his best selling book, Mad, Bad and Dangerous To Know, was revised and updated in 2020. His latest book published in 2022 is Climb Your Mountain – Everyday Lessons From an Extraordinary Life. Universal released a documentary film of Ran’s life in adventures in 2022, entitled simply, The Explorer. The film includes a tribute from King Charles III.
Sir Ranulph led the first hovercraft expedition up the river Nile and captained the team that discovered the lost Arabian city of Ubar. Aged 65, Sir Ranulph Fiennes climbed to the summit of Mount Everest. Therefore, becoming the oldest Briton ever to do so. As a result of his expeditions, to date Sir Ranulph has raised over £14.2 million for UK charities. In 1993 he was awarded an OBE for “human endeavour and charitable services”.
