Peter Wilson became the first British Olympic shooting champion for 12 years at London 2012 to the elation of the country.
With the help of his superb coach Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, Peter rose rapidly to world number one in the double trap rankings. In 2011 he won gold at the World Cup circuit and went on to collect team silver in the European Championships, along with Sydney gold medallist Richard Faulds and Steven Walton, and set a new world record in the double trap with a remarkable score of 198 out of 200 gaining quota spots for the British team for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Peter was the youngest competitor for the Olympics in the men’s double trap event at 25 . The 6ft 6in Olympian is easy to spot and his passion is infectious. His incredible Olympic journey is fascinating and one in which he delivers with charisma.
