Taking the starring role of Frank in Willy Russell's Educating Rita at the Minerva Theatre, Lenny Henry's appearance follows the announcement earlier this month that he is due to receive a Knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours.

The Knighthood is awarded for his services to drama and charity having been one of the founders of Comic Relief. Earlier this year Red Nose Day reached an historic landmark with the British public raising £1 billion over the last 30 years since its inception.

Lenny has also received excellent reviews for his role in the BBC's Syndicate this year and was the proud recipient of the Broadcasting Press Guild's prestigious Harvey Lee Award recognising `Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting'

It has already been quite a year for Lenny and between his other commitments he is also much in demand as a corporate performer and event host.  Recent feedback includes, "quite definitely the best host they have ever had ... superb throughout ... consumate professional" National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2015
