It's undeniable that Karren Brady is a woman of many talents. She's one of the most iconic and well-known business women in the UK, is a big name in the world of football and even appears regularly on TV. So, it's not too surprising that Karren is to receive this year's Outstanding Contribution to Business Award at the Irish Post Awards. We think it’s very well-deserved!

The Irish Post Awards celebrate excellence in Ireland and Britain, recognising those who have accomplished extraordinary achievements and made a large contribution in their field. Starting in 1977, this year marks their 40th year of awards and the event will be broadcasted on TV for the first time. The previous winners of the award throughout the years are amongst some on the most well-known figures of the modern day, showing the calibre of people who have won The Irish Post Award.

Karren’s award will be a celebration of her incredibly successful career. Beginning her life's career in sales, she quickly showed her skills and was appointed as the MD of Birmingham City football club when she was just twenty-three. She sold the club later, after bringing it back from administration, for £82 million. Not a bad result! She’s now the Vice-Chairman of West Ham United FC and ran a successful campaign to move the club into London’s Olympic Stadium. The club has become one of the top five fastest growing brands in global football.

Karren’s been awarded a CBE for her work for Women in Business and Entrepreneurship and was elevated to the House of Lords, becoming Baroness Karren Brady of Knightsbridge. Did we also mention that she’s a mother of two? Just when things couldn't get any more impressive, she’s also raised two little human beings whilst being a business-extraordinaire.

Currently, Karren's roles include her role for West Ham, being a Senior Non-Executive at Syco Entertainment and also the chairman of Topshop. On the side, she's the Small Business Ambassador appointed by the Government and also works on the Women in Sports Advisory Board. Of course, perhaps her most well-known role to the British public is alongside Lord Alan Sugar in the hit TV programme 'The Apprentice' in which Karren plays an advisory role to the famed business-legend.

Karren is an incredible woman to have speak at events with a wide repertoire of subjects she can talk on. From being a woman in the world of business to her knowledge on football, or perhaps simply as a motivational speaker to encourage success, her talks are always passionate and engaging! The feedback we gain from happy clients who have seen Karren is just added proof that this woman is truly incredible.
