Jamie Hull

Former SAS reservist, Jamie Hull was flying a light aircraft in the USA in 2007. The plane encountered an engine fault and burst into flames. Jamie made an emergency landing, suffering horrendous and near-fatal injuries - 60%, 3rd degree burns. 52 separate surgical procedures have already followed. Whilst many people would have given up the tough road to recovery, as Jamie almost did at his lowest point, he has fought hard to recover.

In 2011 Jamie successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa; earlier this year he cycled over 3000 miles from the West to East coast of America in aid of Help for Heroes; and he was a deserving London 2012 torch bearer.

In 2013 Jamie helped to launch the British Antarctic Microlight Expedition. Jamie and the team are preparing to be the first people to fly microlight aircraft to the South Pole. The challenge is scheduled to take place in December 2014 and combines the efforts of the Flying for Freedom organisation along with Help for Heroes.

Jamie is still on his journey of recovery, but he has come a long way and his story is an inspiration for us all. He is a highly effective motivational speaker.

“He had the audience captivated … if you are considering asking Jamie to speak, I cannot recommend him enough, he will motivate, move and inspire” Alastair Parker- Swift, Founder Crew Clothing, 2013.
